What's going on? Medlab this morning was strangely crowded, plus I've seen at least one mutant I don't recognize so far . . .

It's Saturday man.

Other than that, I have no clue.

You make it sound like we're a favourite weekend hangout or something.

Well, we kind of are. If you're a mutant and suffering from severe bodily harm.

Don't forget saddled with a mutation that can be mistaken for incurable illness. Nothing like an invasive physical exam to complete your Saturday.

Nothing that you or anyone else needs to worry about, Marius. Everything's under control, no one's hurt... it's all right.

As it's clearly all gone down already and no one's dead, panicking or obviously mental I wouldn't call it worried, but it's a bit tense and Moira didn't look to have gotten much sleep. It may not be a worrier for me, but I do live here.

And a lot of stuff goes on here that the student body isn't always fully in the know about. Since there's no clear and present danger, it'll have to be up to the people involved to explain if and when they choose.

Privacy I can respect fine, so long as it doesn't come cloaked in "all is well, ignore the man behind the curtain". I take issue when official statements flat-out dismiss the evidence of my eyes.

I did not say all was well. I said everything was under control, no one was hurt, and implied that the mansion was not going to blow up.

But congratulations, you've officially arrived. You're not a real resident of the school unless you've complained at least once that I don't tell the students what they need to know.

I thought the official arrival had to do with Mr. Marko yelling at you not to destroy the place.

Nah

The official arrival is when you do destroy the place. Added bonus for involvement of either siblings, or inter-dimensional beings.

I think Jennie's door covered the row with Marko, even if I did spend most of it hanging by my neck. As for siblings, I miraculously managed to avoid mine in coming here. Speak of dodging the bullet.

I was generalizing. Past experience indicates a tendency of adults to avoid giving an answer by total denial of the question. As I'm one of those rare individuals who can differentiate between "want to know" and "need to know," I consider "Sorry, can't talk about it" a better answer than "I don't know what you're talking about." (Not that either of these are a favourite option, but the one is a bit less offensive to my intelligence.)

Better to maybe generalize about something else. This particular topic's been done to death.
